It's a powerful portrait but why so dark, why not a bit more contrast? Did you apply a filter?

@ Uno. I have this picture with several shades, dark others less.
At first I liked the darker as the days go passing by and with comments, beginning to see the picture differently.
The good thing about the photo sites, I learn a lot from the comments, not be important to gracious or even if it is to give constructive opinion, as in this case of yours.
I think we should comment on the channel more of the photos or all like it or not, in order to be able to grow in this art of photography.
