in 2009 I visited zanzibar island. this pic was taken inside one of the slave caves near Mangapwani beach, which were used for illegal slave trading after the slave trade was abolished in the late 1800's.

This is one of my favourite Shy 1's so far.
I love the framing with the child almost dead centre.
The use of darkness and light is also very suggestive of the setting and its history.
This picture just made todays "session" on 75.
