Ha! There's the coffee! It is coffee, right? Don't know if I agree with the quote though... haven't seen the movie so I might be out of context... although I think on any human civilization and historic time there's always those who pursue money, success, fame and glamour and those who don't... and the world has been shaped by both...

Yep, it is coffee, not black though with two and half teaspoons of brown sugar.
I haven't seen it either, picked it up from a dance song that samples it — there is a line that follows that, "We are living in the age of the thing".
I suppose what is being said is that were in a 'consumerism' age; where there is only (or mostly) the pursuit of money, success, fame and glamour.
